Gun Nose Short Machine Tap M12 5081200
The “gun nose” tap is strongest type of tap for tapping thru. holes (pushing swarf forwards thruough the hole); where a “spiral flute” taps is suited to tap blind holes (swarf exiting back up the flutes). Also, “cold form” or “thread flow” taps can tap holes without any swarf, although material needs to be ductile.
